Jon organised a run through the snow in Crystal Palace Park on Tuesday 21 December. We stuck to the snow on the grass, avoiding the slippery paths, with lights, torches and the brightness of the snow we could see our way easily around the park. Afterwards there was mulled wine for the parents and a selection of Christmas goodies, orange and cranberry jaffa cake bars, Celebrations, Heroes, millionaires shortbread, flapjacks and other fun sized chocolate treats, followed by a snowball fight!

British Triathlon Annual Awards DinnerAdam was meant to write a report about his night at the British Triathlon Annual Awards Dinner but after nagging him several times he hasn't come up with the goods! I wanted to get the pictures up on the website before the end of the year so am publishing the pictures without his write up.

I had a lovely surprise as I thought John P, Bruce and I were the only ones attending the Awards Dinner from CPT. While having a drink before going into the Awards someone came over to say hello. I was delighted to see my sister Helen, my Mum and Adam, who had come all the way to Leicester to celebrate with me. Adam looked very smart and grown up in his suit and tie, very different from his CPT running/cycling kit!
Adam was very excited to be sitting almost back to back with Alastair Brownlee at the dinner table. I got a very big cheer from my family when I went up to collect my Volunteer of the Year award. Adam was really pleased to be invited by John P to go up on stage with John, Bruce and myself to collect the British Triathlon Race of the Year Award.

After dinner we spoke to Alastair and Jonathan Brownlee, Helen Jenkins and Tim Brabants, having our photos taken with them and holding Tim's Olympic Gold medal. It was a really lovely evening, made even more special sharing it with my family and my triathlete nephew (if that doesn't embarass him into writing something, I don't know what will!!).

Please note that this Saturday's cycling session at Richmond Park will now start at 09:00 and finish at 11:00.
There is no parkrun at Crystal Palace this Saturday as the paths in the park are still too dangerous to hold the event. The last run before Christmas will hopefully take place on 18 December.

We started our celebration with around 40 of us shooting lasers at each other! Grown-ups definitely had as much fun as the juniors, even if we didn’t understand any of the tactics.
Who was Red number 3 in the second game who lasered Mark Allan 167 times???
Then it was back to Abi’s house for some refreshments and the awards presentation.
The Wiggos celebrated winning the 2010 Club Championship and were presented with a trophy and Jon’s trademark, chocolate.
Everyone, Wiggos and Cavs, was given a bike tool and Team Sky drinks bottle for their contribution to their team this year.
Junior awards were given as follows:
| Award | Presented to |
|---|---|
| Coaches Award Under 12 | Mali Jenkins |
| Coaches Award Over 12 | Joe Kidson |
| Endeavour Award | Ben Allan |
| Endeavour Award | Adam Efrat |
| Performance Award Under 12 | Elle Horsman |
| Performance Award Under 12 | Harry Horsman |
| Performance Award Over 12 | Greta Sharp |
| Performance Award Over 12 | Alex Yee |

Rising star certificates and goodie bags were also presented to Matthew Brogan, Natalie Falshaw and Morris Pusey.
Alongside the junior awards two trophies were also presented to adults for their major contribution to the junior section this year.
Parent Volunteer Award: Paul Eaglestone
Ridings Trophy: Sally Kidson
Well done to everyone, a fantastic achievement.

Special thanks were given to the coaches and Karen Ayers for the continuous updates to the website to bring you information, news and reviews.
Also Sara and Sheila for their ‘behind the scenes’ energy.
We then ate delicious cake (made by Jean, Adam’s Nana) whilst watching a review of CPT Juniors 2010 on DVD. If you would like a copy, for a contribution of £2 to the club, please email Sheila and let her know.
Alice, Alex and Adam presented CPT junior 2011 calendars to Jon and Sally and there one for Phil too when he’s better.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising and preparing for the event and of course a BIG thank you once again to Brian and Lisa for allowing us to descend on their house!
Thanks also to Brian for the photographs, which can be viewed via this link.
