St Joseph's College - Please be aware that these are coached swim training sessions which require athletes to have reached a level of swimming ability and endurance to enable them to participate. We are unable to teach juniors to swim at this stage. One of our coaches, in consultation with the head coach, will advise each new member at the start of their first swim session on their readiness for training and any steps that need to be taken before that is appropriate. Cost - £3.00 (annual/quarterly payments cover this session - see Training fees) Don't forget to bring a drink. Girls must wear a swimming hat. Parents/non-swimmers have a proper viewing area and are not allowed poolside. Juniors are required to pay on poolside at the start of the session. NB: Please ensure juniors do not enter the water until a coach is present on poolside. No outdoor shoes allowed on poolside. There will be at least one lane available for any adult members who wish to participate in an uncoached swim while juniors use the pool. |

Trinity School - Please be aware that these are coached swim training sessions which require athletes to have reached a level of swimming ability and endurance to enable them to participate. It is really important that juniors are ready to go on poolside by 19:30 (if they can come with swim gear already on this will help with changing facilities too). The aim is to encourage all the juniors to increase their stamina and endurance for a 90min session - this will take time, so the session will end between 20:30 and 21:00 depending on fatigue and personal preference! It is essential that juniors are collected from within the school building - they should wait in the viewing area. Note: The more competent/older junior swimmers will be invited (by coaches Jon/Phil) to join the adult session instead (20:00-21:30). Parents/non-swimmers have a proper viewing area and are not allowed poolside. Juniors are required to pay on poolside at the start of the session. NB: Please ensure juniors do not enter the water until a coach is present on poolside. No outdoor shoes allowed on poolside. View the training schedule. |

Hillingdon Cycle Circuit:
This is a coached session for all junior members of all abilities. The venue (just over an hour from Crystal Palace) provides the opportunity to develop cycle skills and speed on a completely closed road circuit. If you have been before you know what I mean .... and if you haven't it is really worthwhile making use of this venue which is not open to the public and is booked out for months in advance. These are really important sessions for working on bike speed and technique. Everybody should plan to be there! Parents and other family members (supervised) are welcome to use the track too. The cost of these sessions is £5 per athlete (it has been included in the annual training membership for those who have it). For un-coached users the charge will be £3. In addition to your bike and helmet you will need warm layers, gloves (waterproof jacket etc. if wet), plenty to drink and eat, running shoes. We do have use of the clubhouse so if adult helpers would like to bring tea, coffee, milk etc. there is a good kitchen. This is a fantastic facility where everybody, of all abilities, can get some excellent experience without any interference from cars, pedestrians or wild animals!! |
Sessions coached by Jon Horsman and Phil Taylor. assisted by Audrey Livingston, Brian Morris, Dean Thurlow, Paul Eaglestone, Scott Wise and Ron Yee. See the coaches page for more information.

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the coaches who have coached me and all the juniors this year. When I wake up in the morning and I realise it’s a training day I say
"GREAT it's training today!"
