Crystal Palace Triathlon - 2010 Feedback
We really appreciate your feedback and suggestions regarding our race.
Thank you to all competitors who have taken the time to send us feedback on the 2010 race.
Here is a selection of comments received so far -
- Thanks for a well run event. All the helpers and stewards were polite and helpful, and everyone seemed to be in a really good mood! I also like the fact that I got a medal at the end of the event. Most triathlons that I have done do not provide this, and I am always disappointed as t-shirts and memories fade, but medals keep their shine.
- Thank you for a great race on Sunday, the marshalls and other volunteers were so good-humoured and supportive, and the race in general had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Organisation was superb, swim starts, transitions etc all without hitch.
- Great event on Sunday, was my first time at CP and really enjoyed it - very friendly and ran really smoothly vs others I've done (if you could persuade the authorities to smooth out the tarmac around the stadium for next year would be appreciated too)!
- We just wanted to thank you for a great Tri yesterday, it was the best organised event we have been to. Please thank everyone for their help, they where the friendliest bunch of officials I have ever come across.
- Wow, what a fabulous race yesterday! I hope you are getting a well deserved rest today. I can't even conceive of how you and the rest of the CPT team can orchestrate such a massive and smoothly run event [yes, there are hiccips and issues every year, but even those you manage to handle with personal attention and aplomb rather than officiousness and intransigence]
- Thanks once again for a well-organised and friendly race. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to be back again next year.
Glad to see the return of the souvenir t-shirts as well. A clean t-shirt and recovery drink was all and everything I needed after the race. - My first triathlon, and certainly not my last.
From entering registration, to receiving my medal at the end the marshals were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you.
As a slow swimmer it was wonderful to see it just "work" as we all found our pace whether it be faster or slower than estimated.
The steep hill at the start of the lap was a bit tough especially as it continued with a gradient for a good few hundred metres. This was more than compensated for however by the glorious downhill towards the end of the lap.
Running into this famous stadium to complete the event was fantastic, with the sun beating down and the finish line in side you can't help but speed up a little and cross the line with a huge grin on your face.
Thank you Crystal Palace, see you next year. - This was my second year at Crystal Palace and thought the event was excellently run. I would especially like to thank the two members of your team who stood at the top of the hill on the cycle track who cheered me on every lap - I don’t know where I would have been without them so a BIG BIG thank you goes to them

- What a great event, I’d like to thank the organisers for doing such a good job. It was my first time at the CPT, but likely not my last. The event was very well organised, but more than that every single member of the organisation was pleasant and helpful, all of the course marshals were encouraging, and one guy even had a list of names so he could cheer you on personally…great! The professionalism of the whole event really did make for an enjoyable occasion, apart from all the pain involved in competing! Thanks and see you next year
